⚡ Reliable Long-Range Communication

The Veronte SDL is a robust Line-of-Sight (LOS) datalink designed for UAVs and other autonomous platforms. Operating in 400 MHz, 900 MHz, or 2.4 GHz bands, it provides secure and stable serial communication for telemetry, command, and payload data transmission — both in point-to-point and point-to-multipoint configurations.

🛠️ Built for Harsh Environments

Encased in an anodized aluminum housing and rated IP67, the SDL datalink withstands dust, water, vibration, and temperature extremes from −40 °C to +85 °C. Its rugged construction ensures reliable operation in airborne, ground, or marine systems where conditions are unpredictable.

🧠 Smart and Efficient Connectivity

With adaptive frequency hopping, error correction (ARQ), and CRC protection, the SDL ensures interference-free communication and data integrity. Its high sensitivity (up to −112 dBm) and power output of up to 1 W provide strong, stable links over extended ranges, even in complex RF environments.

🔧 Compact, Lightweight, and Versatile

Weighing only 68 g and measuring just 44 × 26 × 71 mm, the SDL is easy to integrate into UAV, eVTOL, UGV, or USV systems. It supports a wide voltage range (6.5–36 V) and flexible connector options, making installation straightforward and compatible with diverse setups.

🛰️ Seamless Integration with Veronte Systems

Designed to work seamlessly with the Veronte Autopilot ecosystem, the SDL datalink provides real-time telemetry and command communication for mission-critical applications. It’s a proven solution for reliable communication in professional drone and unmanned operations.

FAQs

Please read our FAQs page to find out more.

What is the difference between continuous and peak power?

Continuous power is the level the motor can safely handle over long periods. Peak power is the short-term maximum during acceleration or climb. Exceeding continuous ratings can cause overheating.

What happens if the motor exceeds its maximum temperature?

The motor temperature should normally be monitored by the ESC through the built-in motor temperature sensor. If thermal protection is disabled or not supported, excessive heat can cause partial demagnetization of the magnets, leading to permanent loss of performance or complete motor failure.

How to prevent overheating?

Ensure proper cooling by maintaining sufficient airflow or liquid circulation around the motor. Overheating often indicates that the motor is overloaded or operating outside its efficiency range. Always match the motor with a suitable propeller, gearbox, or load to keep current within the rated limits. Monitor temperature through telemetry and avoid running at peak power for extended periods

What does KV mean?

KV indicates how many revolutions per minute (RPM) the motor produces per volt.

What maintenance does a BLDC motor require?

Brushless motors are mostly maintenance-free. Periodically clean the motor using dry compressed air to remove dust and debris. Avoid using liquids or solvents, and make sure no moisture enters the housing. Check bearings occasionally for smooth rotation.
